Yesterday, December 7, 1941 -- a date which will live in infamy -- the United States of America was suddenly and deliberately attacked by naval and air forces of the Empire of Japan . . . The attack yesterday on the Hawaiian Islands has caused severe damage to American naval and military forces. Very many American lives have been lost . . . Always we will remember the character of the onslaught against us. No matter how long it may take us to overcome this premeditated invasion, the American people in their righteous might will win through to absolute victory . . .

The graphic art used in propaganda posters during WWII is awesome and instantly recognizable.
I really want to try my hand at doing something similar, but no subjects are coming to mind. I'll probably do a few test ones, and post them on here if they don't turn out too bad. I think it'll end up being a fun project!

Lomographic Society International in cooperation with OZON Magazine (based out of Athens, Greece) is having a 'rumble' (that's cool lingo for 'contest') for their next issue called 'Bohemian Rhapsody'. They are looking for the most awesome pictures of Prague to be found. They also just so happen to be using one of my photos to promote this contest! I was so excited when I saw it. Hopefully one of my submissions will win, and then I can get the free subscription with my pics in it! Here's hoping..
welcome.

Have you ever heard of a Smena? A Smena 8m, in fact? If not, allow me to tell you that it is a Soviet-made camera, and I have one. It's loaded with a roll of redscale film (ie the emulsion is wrong side up, so it takes the picture through the back of the film, tinting it with all shades of fiery color) As soon as I am done shooting it, and it's been developed, I will have a gallery up! I am unbelievably excited for this. I am usually happy with my point-and-shoot Nikon Coolpix, so the lack of instant gratification with this one is a little challenging for me.. wish me luck..
